In view of the pandemic and our inability to have face to face classes, online classes will be conducted every week end to cover the syllabus of three Parts of the CIA study. Attendance to each session is compulsory. Study material will be provided to all students as the fees include cost of study material. Classes will be recorded. Recordings will be provided at the discretion of the Lead Faculty depending upon the reasons offered. Recordings will be made available for a maximum of 15 days with a maximum of three recordings at a time.

The course content of the study is broader than that of any advanced post-graduate program and needs to be completed in over 130 hours of class study, to a level expected in a global level exam.  This task can be accomplished, only if the aspirants are prepared to read the study material before attending the respective classes and note down their doubts for discussion during the class room sessions. We strongly believe that this practice alone will help to consistently evince interest in studies and carry forward the students. To support this, a 24x 7 doubts clearing facility is also extended to clarify doubts on a day-to-day basis without the need to wait until the subsequent class. As a part of this program, students will also get appropriate mentoring and timely guidance as may be needed UNTIL they get the coveted certification.

Determination and preparedness to devote relentless efforts consistently, as advised by the faculty is very important. The Lead faculty will continuously monitor the study progress of aspirants and will set targets for completing. Aspirants are expected to meet the rigors of this course if they have to complete the CIA exam successfully in the shortest possible time.

CIA Admission policy                                                                                         w.e.f  15/10/2021

GMA interview all applicants for CIA course, mainly to evaluate their suitability to pursue the course-(In addition to relevant educational background, each candidate’s experience and exposure in internal audit, and/ or Risk management, in particular as well as their aptitude in learning, readiness and consistency to devote extra hours of study as may be required for this global level competitive exam). Only those who meet the minimum criteria will be admitted to pursue this advanced course.

The CIA exam consists of three parts. Generally, candidates selected for a particular batch, during the first three months undergo classes for Parts 1&2, (predominantly consisting of international audit standards and guidance, as well as GRC-Governance Risk management and Control). They will also be taught Part-3 subjects –Business acumen, IT & IT security and Finance as per IIA’s syllabus for another three months, thus for a total of six months for the entire course.

Our new admission strategy is to make the admission procedure a flexible and more convenient one and accordingly, the waiting time is cut to just three months.

Salient features of the amended scheme are as follows:

  1. As per the new strategy, admission will also be done during the interim period for the part-3, (which is independent of Part 1 & 2) before commencement of the part-3 for the batch, for which already classes are running for the Part 1 & 2. Therefore, the candidates who joined at the beginning of the batch as well those got selected during the interim period will undergo classes for Part-3, together.
  2. Candidates selected students during the interim period will subsequently undergo classes for parts 1&2 along with the students of the next batch, (which normally commences with minimum two weeks’ interval, from the completion of the immediately preceding batch).
  3. Though the sequence in which both the category of students undergo classes are different, they get equal opportunity to learn, irrespective of their joining time.

“Under this scheme, admission for the part-3 is open from now onwards up to end November 2021. Selected candidates will first undergo classes for part-3 first and then for parts 1 & 2, along with the students of the next batch scheduled to commence from first week of March 2022”.
