The New version of FINPREP covers the study of Foundation and Intermediate levels of the Indian Chartered Accountancy.
One of the most sought after opportunity for students who have chosen the Commerce stream is the Chartered Accountancy program from India. Students have an option to get into the CA program immediately after completing the 12th, rather than the traditional route of waiting until getting a B Com. This means that students have the potential to be a Chartered Accountant by the time they turn 22 giving them an head start in their career as a finance professional.
The Foundation exam is the entry point for a student, which is conducted twice a year, in May and November. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India permit students to register themselves for the Foundation Course once they complete their 10th Board Exam. They are however, permitted to write their exams only after they appear or pass the 12th Board. Such a student will hence get his first eligibility to take the Foundation exams in May following the 12th Board provided he registers before January 1st of that year. This means that effectively a student has just about 7 weeks to prepare for Foundation after completing his 12th standard.
Considering the complexities of a few subjects in the Foundation exams which are relatively new to a school student, it would be ideal for such a student to prepare while he is in 11th Grade itself or at least in 12th Grade if they want to take up the Foundation in May following the CBSE exams.
We have hence come up with a solution to students who would like to start preparing for Foundation while they are in XI or XII Grade.
Every year, we will commence classes for Foundation in June/July to coincide with the summer vacation.
After the Foundation exams, the students will move to Chennai to attend classes for Intermediate which will start in the immediate June
